Why I Am Passionate About Helping Children Find Their Voice?
I am a certified Social Etiquette and Emotional Intelligence Coach, an 11+ interview tutor, and a mum of two teenagers. I’ve also been running small-group workshops for children from my home in Northwood for many years, supporting children in building confidence, communication skills and emotional intelligence
Public Speaking is deeply personal to me. As a child, I was extremely reserved. I rarely put my hand up in class, struggled socially, lacked confidence, found it difficult to be assertive, and experienced bullying. I know what it feels like to have thoughts inside your head but not feel confident enough to express them.
Over time, into adulthood, through my career in project management, I had to deliver presentations, chair meetings, lead discussions, and eventually run my own business. I learned how life-changing communication skills can be.
I care about helping children develop these skills earlier in life, so they can communicate with greater confidence, clarity, warmth, and self-assurance in classrooms, friendships, and use their voice as their superpower.
Why is it called the A-Z of Public Speaking Workshop?
Your child will take part in interactive public speaking challenges and activities designed to build confidence in a fun and supportive environment. At the same time, they will learn key public speaking concepts linked to each letter of the alphabet: A – Articulation B – Breathing C – Connection D – Debating E – Eye Contact …and much more.
