Welcome to ‘Etiquette and Emotions’ which is a virtual platform offering live self-development workshops for children and teenagers.
I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself and share how ‘Etiquette and Emotions’ was founded.
The seeds of self-improvement were planted in my childhood. I remember the first time my mother introduced me to a self-development book when I was in my early teens. She was an energetic businesswoman, running several retail shops and in-between serving customers she was reading a Susan Jeffers book; ‘Feel the Fear and do it anyway’. Since then, my collection of self-development books formed an ever-growing library at home. For as long as I can remember, I have always been interested in self-development and personal growth.
I later pursued a career as a project manager in the public, private and charity sectors. Over the years whilst I admired colleagues with impressive profiles boasting academic excellence and endless qualifications, I noticed that often the people that were successful in the workplace (navigating difficult meetings, influencing key decisions, and impressing their way to promotions) were not always the most technically competent, but most often individuals with excellent social and emotional skills.
As a mother of two young children, it dawned on me that investing in children’s academia was only a part of the equation. For the upcoming generation to be successful, emotionally intelligent and possess relationship management skills, these attributes should be ingrained in early childhood.
I made it my mission to enhance young people’s confidence, resilience, personal (and future professional) relationships.
My quest to improve children’s moral, social and emotional skills prompted me to undertake an accredited etiquette training course at ‘The British School of Etiquette’ (BSE). In addition, I undertook a certified qualification in ‘Leading with Emotional Intelligence’ at the BSE, accredited by the ‘Institute of Leadership and Management’. In addition, I am a ‘youth mental health first aider’ having trained with ‘Mental Health First Aid England’.
I have now been teaching children and teenagers (between the ages of 6-16) emotional intelligence and modern youth etiquette for several years.
‘Etiquette and Emotions’ aspires to support children to be the best version of themselves, take the lead to have fulfilling relationships and secure the foundations for future success.
I would be delighted to take your child on an enjoyable interactive journey through one of our workshops. I am sure you will find it to be an invaluable investment for outstanding results. I have also ensured the workshops are a modest, competitive investment ensuring maximum value for parent as well as the child.
I understand as a parent that there are multiple investments in a child’s development- be it academic, sports, music, or extracurricular activities and I have therefore aimed to keep the cost of these workshops at highly competitive rates.

Most workshops are spread over five sessions.
If your child is unwell, experiences technical issues or misses a session for any reason, they could make up a session on a future course e.g. if they missed session three in the easter holidays, they are welcome to attend session three in the summer holidays (please inform me in advance). Please note this is subject to availability.
Alternatively, a one-to-one session can be arranged (at an additional fee). Please contact me on info@etiquetteandemotions.com for further information.
From our experience of running the courses virtually, we feel this enables us to break down several hours’ worth of content into one hour plus sessions. This makes it easier for the child to absorb the teachings than attending a one- or two-day workshop with hours of content delivered at once.
The child can attend the course in school holidays in the convenience of their home without travel time yet interact with a diverse group of similar aged children.
The online platform allows us to keep overheads low, which in turn means the courses can be delivered at highly competitive rates.
For safeguarding reasons and optimal engagement, the child’s camera must remain on for the duration of the online course. This will enable the trainer to ensure the child is engaged, participating, and interacting to fully benefit from the workshop content.
The course will be highly interactive with discussions and quizzes. The children are expected to engage, however if they are asked a question, they are not comfortable answering, they do not have to answer.
On average there are usually eight to ten children per workshop. The minimum number of children is two and we do not exceed fifteen children per session.
If your child is not enjoying or benefiting from the sessions and wants to leave the course after the first session, please get in touch and a refund can be issued for the remaining sessions of the course (pro rata amount of original booking fee). A £10 administrative fee will apply (deducted from the refund)
Should you wish to cancel after the second session onwards, unfortunately no refund will be issued.
If you make a booking i.e., fill the registration form and make the payment, and wish to cancel your booking more than 48 hours in advance, the refund will be processed with a £10 administrative fee (deducted from the refund) or a credit note can be provided for a future date.
If you cancel your booking with less than 48 hours’ notice, a refund will be issued for 50% of the course fees (please provide account details) or a credit note can be provided for a future date.
